Hey!
This year the High Five Youth, a youth volunteer group with the Central Singapore Community Development Council, is proud to organize Tapestry for the 6th time. This is a street charity busking event, wholly organized by youth, for the youth. Proceeds collected from the 2 days of busking will be used to support and enhance the present Arts programme at our chosen beneficiary, Boys' Town.
Boys’ Town is a unique Catholic institution dedicated to providing guidance, shelter, education, vocational training and practical living skills to youth. They care for orphans, the poor, the neglected and those who find themselves in various states of difficulties.
So if you are between 13 to 25 years of age, WE WANT YOU! You can put on any performance on the streets of Orchard, regardless of genre or performance type. All you need is to convince us that the performance will work in the streets. We will provide you an accessible performing arena and marketing forum to showcase your talents.

Date : 28th – 29th July 2007 (Saturday & Sunday)

VISIT TO OUR BENEFICIARY
To allow you to better understand the chosen cause of Tapestry 07, visiting sessions will be organized during the June holidays for you to interact with the boys at Boys’ Town.
You may also use this opportunity to put up special performances for them. The underlying principle is to allow you to feel a stronger sense of ownership to the event, with your direct interaction and involvement with Boys’ Town.
To join us in Tapestry 07, simply complete the attached Application Form and send it to us, together with a copy of your (or team’s) photograph and by 25th May 2007 (Friday).

AUDITION:
Each group/ individual will be given 15 minutes (to set up AND perform). The longer the set-up time, the fewer pieces we are able to hear/ see.
*General Audition Details
All performing acts must not involve nudity, vulgarities, preaching of any religious values or any other potentially offensive themes.
Audition slots are limited, and will be assigned on first-come-first-serve basis.
Auditions will be held at different locations, depending on the types of performances and the size of performing group.
Please choose at least 2 of your available audition dates:
q 02nd June, Saturday (1200-1800)
q 03rd June, Sunday (1200-1800)
q 09th June, Saturday (1200-1800)
q 10th June, Sunday (1200-1800)
Audition time will be allocated. Please also make allowances during auditions in case of delays and bring your own entertainment, if you are the impatient sorts.
