Dear dancers,
I was told that u guys are going to perform The 2005 Harvest Dance for ur Genting Competition. I know u guys are ecstatic with the news that u guyz are going to perform the dance item that adorned our achievement table with a touch of Gold but u guys must realise the pure effort put behind it.
Let me warn u; not demoralising. The Harvest Dance will really test your patience, determination and teamwork. It took us more than 3 months to really understand these fundamental skills. The props are not as pleasant as they look. For those chosen as the Padis, do NOT attempt to complain how heavy the props are when u start to learn the ABCs of the dance. Such attitude given in such a short time before ur genting trip will NOT be tolerated mind you. And SMILE and SYNCHRONISATION are the key words for u guys.
For the guys, esp the five guys doing the intro choreography. The whole dance item is like a car. You guys are the battery. If the battery is low, the car will not shine as the fastest car. You guyz are very important as u guyz are the characters that will CAPTURE the audience attention. Failing to do so will casue audience to not UNDERSTAND the story behind the Harvest Dance. And do NOT show me that, "Oh..I can't do that..Just Shy" attitude any more. If u guys had 3 months to prepare, I would be lenient, but when it comes to less than 3 weeks or so, no room for such gay attitude. You guys will be half-naked so juz thorw off ur face dudes.
For the phat mamas, u girls will add spice to the dance. The colours to the dance. The peasants. Your energy is vey crucial. Your synchronisation is vital. Take note of these two i mentioned. Do NOT screw up. Peasants are like DOMINOES. If one gives a bullshit performance, the whole group of peasants will just look like sickening performers. Shout if u need to. Dance BIG. Smile BIG.
There's a story behind the dance. EACH AND EVERY one of u must lift the story up and let the audience understand the dance item. Your EXPRESSIONs are very important. Your ENERGY will be priceless. Your teamwork UNMATCHED.
Since u guys chose the Harvest Dance over the Rain Dance, i have nothing to say and have no right to change the decision. I still believe since u guys have practiced with all ur sweat for the Rain Dance, u guys should juz spent another about 3 weeks to make it PERFECT. I don't mind u guys do the Harvest Dance, but i would just like to warn that things don't just come easily if u know wad i mean. Do NOT perform the Harvest Dance simply because it is coated with GOLD and that u feel it a GOLD item will bring back huge rewards. Doing so means u are a TRAITOR to the dance item. The GOLD did not just come with a blink of an eye. It had to go through thunderstorms, hurricanes and many more. Behind that coating lies the hardwork and the team.
