Commitment And Attitude

Hi Guys,
I think SYF is just a week away. Mr Tan and i have put our best effort to make sure not only you look good but dance well. We gave our commitment time and again and even try our best to to make sure as an individual dancer you do your part correctly and gracefully. So far i am very proud to say that majority of you did well and listen to us. Some did not come often but still dance well and keep to the standard.
Unfortunately i am very upset tonite after going through all of this and yet we are still facing with some problems which i really dont know how and why i am still facing them. There are 2 major problems. One is the dancer's attitude and the other is dancers falling sick last minute. I may be able to accomodate to dancers falling sick as i know that they do not predict this and thus it is just circumstances that put them in this situation. But what about those with attitude. Come as and when they like. And when they dance not even to my expectation. This is very unbecoming of a dancer.
Some hardly come due to tuition but still maintain the standard that i want. For eg. Joy Foo has not come for a few times but i know when she comes , she will give me the standard that i want. I trust her consistency in dancing that i know that she will do well in this dance. How about those who comes often but not giving the standard consistently.
Please think of this and do a reflection on yourself whether you are one of this people or not. This two weeks have a tiring week for me and Mr. Tan in getting new costumes for the actors. We worked hard , other dancers work hard, so those who dont work hard please do so. If not for yourself probably for your friends. We need to work as one not as individual.
I know the exam is coming soon. I have seen people who come and do their revision during the training. That is good, very good. Killing two birds with one stone. If you know how to manage your time, this will not be a problem.
Our senior Marinah, she gave her 110% commitment to SYF 2005 and she still come top ten in this year 'O' level exam result. Her time management is fantastic. She dance well, involved in many concerts and yet do well in her academic. Kudos to her!
I hope i dont have to keep reminding you this over and over again!
Lastly for those who has put your heart, mind and soul in SYF, thank you so much and please maintain the standard all the way.
