hey everyone..
i was watching a programme about the disadvantaged kids a few days ago and it opened up my heart. I went to a charity website to know more about them. What caught my attention was the volunteer/fund-raising services they need. The areas include bringing those children to camps, excursions, and teaching them music, etc.
When i read, sth popped into my mind. UCC . I was thinking that the Dance Alumni organising a charitable concert, UCC, near Youth Day(early July) or some other dates. We do not need to donate any money; we would juz invite them to UCC 2008 for free. I would work hard to write a sponsorship proposal to Mr Lim to help sponsor their food, tix, etc. I am pretty sure Mr Lim would not object casue we're doing charitable work. If not, we can do a fund-raising concert whereby for every ticket sold, $1 will be donated to the charity organisation. If all is not accepted, i have no comments.
They have provided me with an e-mail in any case if we've confirmed the charitable concert so that i can tell them the time and date, etc. I trully we could do some charity work and hope my idea of the charitable concert would be considered by Ms Zu, Mr Tan and the other pioneers first before writing the proposals.
We have been to many concerts, gigs, etc. But there they are in Homes. Why not just let them have fun for a day with Bands, Dance Groups and Stage Games. Trust me, emotions will run over u when u see SMILES written all over their faces.
